When it came time to do a brand overhaul for Associated Hair Professionals, we need we needed to do a lot of research first to understand the member and the market. After nearly a year of surveys, market research, member interviews, and brand discussions by the AHP team, we found that hairstylists, barbers, colorists, loctitians, and others in the hair industry are incredible entrepreneurs, working hard to set up and run their businesses. They are socially-savvy, determined, and short on time. What they really want is a straight-forward association that gives them the tools they need to make their lives easier, and fights on their behalf. The AHP brand and logo design is now based on that bold, hard-working, revolution-inspiring spirit.
This brand identity design included the full brand system—new logo, color palette, typography, photographic mood board, brand voice,  website, and launch package.
